That They Too, Might Live - A Poem

One lantern held,
Guides through any path,
But the sun, dear,
Lights the way by the moon,

…one must have eyes to see..

The ocean holds in it’s depths,
Buried dead, remained forgotten
Those without, not on the rolls,
Who died without faces,

The sea may give up her dead,
But who are these ghosts arisen
Who call like rusting buckets
Not again, but to be filled first
With fresh water, no salt in it
That they too, might live?
